Have Real Estate brokers (wifes of Senate & House members) read Yahoo's Q and A's in the last 30 days?

It would appear rarely, as Real Estate Brokers and agents, who make up a significant portion of the occupations of the spouses of both House and Senate members within each state, would be up in arms against the USDA, if they in fact did!!! A rough estimate of board and agent members, nation wide, would number in the hundreds of thousands, and yet we hear not a peep out of them. Why? Do they not network?

The USDA's NAIS is a major affront into their livelihood with the introduction of Premises Registration of rural properties; a PROMINENT slice of the properties they (purchase %26amp; sell) for their clients. If the shoe fits wear it. Go to NoNais for a brief catch up study. You guys need a bad case of make-up education.

Two legal questions they should be asking: (1) Legally speaking, what is a USDA Stakeholder; why the transfer of ownership on property with the 7 digit GPS number? (2) Why is the Encumbrance permanent, making it virtually impossible to EVER sell the property again?

Someone sounds a little pissed off.
Reply:I'm not a real estate broker, but we are owners of real estate acreage and potential real estate buyers who have also thoroughly researched the National Animal Identification System and the ramifications it would have on us as private property owners. That said, we will be extremely careful in any future real estate purchases to be sure that we do NOT buy any property that already has a Farm Premises ID number with the NAIS. Having that number will immediately stop us from any further interest in that property; we will actively be looking for property without the FPI. And we know others who are doing the same. Sales are already being lost due to rural properties having an FPI number.
