WHAT's A GOOD ADVENTURE BOOK FOR A 15 yr. OLD????

IM A GUY:

I have read and love:

ALEX RIDER SERIES

THE CHERUB SERIES

AND AIRBOURN SERIES

JAMES BOND BOOKS

I like spy books about secret agents and fantasy books that have some real stuff that make me want to be in the characters shoes. Im NOT into War books, stuff with morals, scary books, gross vampire books, etc. British Spy books are my favriot. Is there anything similar to Alex Rider????

I know you said you aren't into vampire books, but maybe you can check out Darren Shan's Cirque du Freak series. The main character becomes a half vampire, and the story follows him. It's not particularly gross and wasn't written (I don't think) to be scary. It's a bit odd, but I ended up liking each book a bit more than the previous.

I was going to offer up the Alex Rider series. I've read a few of those. What about Scott Westerfeld's books? He is more science fiction-type with Uglies, Pretties, Specials and Extras. The main character is a girl who is about to undergo the operation at age 16 which makes you a Pretty rather than an Ugly. She decides to run and then later learns things look good on the outside, but not so good when you really check it out. I don't think morals are exactly emphasized. He also wrote Peeps and The Last Days (peeps are parasite positives - vampires, but they are more on the good guy side - Peeps does have some sick parasite descriptions in it). This author has some other series I'm just starting.

You might check out some of Walter Dean Myers books. He wrote Hoops, Monsters and Scorpions.
Reply:Have you tried the Tracers series by Malcolm Rose. They are CSI/spy and very good.
Reply:The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain
